In response to the COVID19 crisis, Governor Baker announced a ban for group gatherings of over 25 people effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020. There were a few exceptions to the ban and although he did not reference the Adult Day Health industry, I have decided to close our Adult Day Health program effective March 16, 2020.
I plan to continue working with our industry association and its leaders to obtain clarity and direction during this ban. We have been in contact with individuals within the Baker administration to discuss service options and potential service plans for our participants. Additional announcements will follow. Tomorrow our nurses and social workers will contact our participants to determine individual needs during this ban.
This crisis is extremely difficult and stressful for everyone. The news is constant and directives ever changing. I remind everyone to be careful and to be vigilant in your efforts to care for your loved ones.
We will see you soon. Good luck. Joseph Rizzo
